MORE THAN JUST AN OIL CHANGE!  Here at Emerling CDJR, we provide your vehicle with vital lubrication, check the battery, check tire tread, windshield wiper blades, and top off vehicle fluids.  It's amazing what we can get accomplished in about 45 minutes!

Why is a regular oil change so important?

Your engine gets subjected to frequent incursions from outside invaders like dirt, dust, and grime.  All that microscopic gunk can make its way into your engine in the normal course of driving.  Your motor oil is busy doing its job, sweeping up all that dirt and transporting it away from your engine parts.  When you get an oil change, the dirt and grime get drained away for good.

How often should you change your engine's oil?

The previous rule of thumb was every 3,000 miles.  With today's more advanced synthetic oils and how efficient motors have become, you can now go between 5,000 and 6,500 miles between oil changes.  Make sure you ask us for advice on the best service intervals for your vehicles.
